I wrote this song on May 2020. I didn't intend for this song to be part of the album. But then I read the lyrics, and it definitely fits the narrative of the album. I did the fingerpicking for this track, sang, and mixed the song on my own. Amidst the whole energy of the album, I wanted to bring it back to something simple. No drums, synths, or lead guitars. The lyrics are really sad, but the chords are all in major, which gives it a happy, optimistic feeling.
