This is another song I wrote during the summer of 2020. I have very few English-speaking songs. I usually play guitar and write the lyrics as I go. Being a fan of old country and folk songs, I decided to write a folk song but with hints of rock and roll. This song was the one that gave me the courage to produce my own songs and take this seriously. I experimented with so many preamps and mics. I was able to learn and explore all these different methods of production. I originally released the single on January 4, 2021.

Lyrics

Oh baby, don’t you cry
I know your reasons why
It’s not because you’re losing me
It’s that you’re lost inside

There’s no need for a disguise
I can see it in your eyes
You keep saying to yourself
you’re grown
That everything is alright

Never thought it’d be
a bit too late
To be the one
Who got lost on the way
The tragedy of it all
Is that we have to start
Over and over again

It's just a matter
Of our lives
Our truth in time
Became a simple lie
Why fool ourselves
into something
that was never, never there

I know who I am
I know what I need
Deep inside of me
You don’t even know
What you believe

Never thought it’d be
a bit too late
To be the one
Who got lost on the way
The tragedy of it all
Is that we have to start
Over and over again

It's just a matter
Of our lives
Our truth in time
Became a simple lie
Why fool ourselves
into something
that was never, never there
